After stumbling across some ads for Verdun Manor embedded in a 1996 episode of Poltergeist: The Legacy (recorded off the air) while dubbing the episode across earlier this evening, I've settled down with a bottle of wine and 7 Faces of Dr. Lao, one of the better fantasy movies.

Date: 2007-10-26 04:28 pm (UTC)A bit of piss and vinegar to Charles's story, but it's a good read and has lots of amusing touches.
Ray Bradbury wrote the intro to the copy of the story I had; fascinating history to the story - most of it written while Charles and other US troops stood by on ships in Shanghi harbor during one of the post WWI revolutions the Chinese were having.
Thanks for the link - will have to try ordering a copy of DVD when I have money.
