ysengrinThere is a rumor that GW2 - tenative release date around the end of 2009 - will offer Charr as a playable race. Public beta possibly next year.
Rumor also says that the upcoming GW expansion will be the last one (at least until GW2 is released).
Both are rumors at this time as the source doesn't have any backup (yet), though they claim the info is from GDC 2007.
As an aside, I wish we had the spare time and cash to attend GDC - but it's a hobby and business calls ...
