Film du Jour

I often run videos in the background while I'm working in the workshop. This time it was a really neat Spanish horror film, No-Do (packaged as The Haunting here in the States). It's creepy, with a dense plot that you need to work out as it goes along - the pieces don't come together until near the very end. Not for everybody, and not an action flick, but pretty good for the creep factor.

All-You-Can-Eat Buffet Fatwa

You can't make this stuff up ...

The cleric, Saleh al-Fawzan, recently issued a fatwa through a kingdom-based Quranic TV station prohibiting open buffets, saying that the value and quantity of what is sold should be pre-determined before it is purchased.

“Whoever enters the buffet and eats for 10 or 50 riyals without deciding the quantity they will eat is violating Sharia (Islamic) law,” said Fawzan on al-Atheer channel. (source)
