Home Again

Home after an unexpected trip down into Mountain View yesterday. Since I was down thgere anyway, I hit up a number of used book stores in the hope of getting some needed reference books. Didn't find any of the ones I was specifically looking for, but did find a couple of good alternatives. Had a most fufilling bear claw, which I will post images of later.

Also got to see Bolt in 3D with dark_fang. Yeah, we both cried (in a good way).

Video Games

The National Institute on Media and the Family has released their list of top ten games for 1998 2008. Of course, they say it's the list of the most offensive, violent, sex-filled video games inappropriate for kids, but I say that means they're at least worth a look ...

In no particular order (because you have to register with the NIoMatF to actually *see* the list) the ten games getting free publicity are:

• Fallout 3
• Left 4 Dead
• Silent Hill: Homecoming
• Gears of War 2
• Dead Space
• Far Cry 2
• Legendary
• Resistance 2
• Blitz: The League II (a football game? without orcs or werewolves?)
• Saints Row 2

For those wanting lighter fare, the NIoMatF reccommended Shaun White Snowboarding, among others.
