A Catholic lawyer has filed heresy charges against Sen. John Kerry with the Archdiocese of Boston, accusing the Democratic presidential candidate of bringing "most serious scandal to the American public" by receiving Holy Communion as a pro-choice Catholic.
[The lawyer] said he filed the heresy charge - - plus an additional complaint charging "harm" to himself as a result of Mr. Kerry's pronouncements on abortion and related issues - - because canon law entitles Catholics to "possession of the faith unharmed."
"By spreading heresy, he is endangering not just mine by every Catholic's possession of the faith," he said.

I'm not Catholic myself, but "heretic" seems a bit excessive.

Sneaked out and saw this as a early matinee today :)

I liked it, though a number of reviewers don't. Go to it expecting a fable and not a documentary and you should be happy as well. The focus is not on the human actors or their story, though they are the framework in which the story takes place.

The two tigers steal the show (shoot, their character names are given top billing). They're mostly performing in reasonable tiger form - including acting as human-acclimated tigers would when appropriate. Strangely, the biggest activity that didn't ring true to me was eating sweets; actions that reviewers have complained about, I saw close enough similarities with Lance's tigers that I can accept what's going on. The Lassie syndrome in one scene that reviewers are complaining about is unfounded; if a tiger is used to your voice they will watch you like they understand what you're saying - when they want to - but that doesn't mean they grok a bit of it. The movie suggests just that much and no more.

Having said that, the tigers are oversoftened as predators in the movie, though that's as much for the PG rating as intent. You will pick up all sorts of little scars raising a cub - and if you're not respectful and careful, larger scars.

And, without spoiling anything, would I do what one human character does near the end of the movie as an extreme act of faith? I would hope that I would.
