Storms brewed up last night after I got home ... one local report:

Funnel . Reported by law enforcement
We lost power right about that time (I had been watching the wall cloud myself) and didn't get it back for five and a half hours.
Today the heat index is supposed to be well over 110; that's more than the a/c here can handle so it's off to see League of Extrodinary Gentlemen and try to stay cool cheaply.
