Pasco Count, Florida bans Christmas trees from public buildings.
The last of the Christmas trees were removed Wednesday after the county attorney said they were religious symbols, said Dan Johnson, assistant county administrator for Public Services.

The American Center for Law & Justice said the decision was based on a flawed understanding of the law. Senior counsel Francis Manion said Christmas trees are legally considered a secular symbol for the observance of a national holiday: Christmas.

I know that I'm all for the seperation of church and state, but my Gosh that's absolutely overkill, especially with a holiday thats been celebrated here since the founding of the country!

Extremists in either direction is just bad...

Yeah, the Bible say SO much about the Christmas tree . . . .
The place I work spent two days putting up a tree, and the next day it was gone. I don't know why, but I suspect the same thing happened. I just wish they had not wasted the money!

I wonder how shocked everone would be if they came to find out that placing evergreen trees in your home at the time of winter solice is a Druid practice and just one of many tratitions that converted christians brought over from there old beliefs.

Just a side note, there is more historical evidence of Santa Claus (St Nick) than there is of Jesus. Now thats funny!
