Any Morning With A Bear Is A Good Morning

The Black Bear Diner mascot, as seen at breakfast at the Black Bear Diner this morning. I feel for him as it was already still and hot, and he was performing out in full sun by a busy road. The performer is certainly a "him" as we saw him (discreetly) headless earlier. We'd gone out for breakfast because a PG&E transformer had blown earlier in the morning (2am) and our block was without power. Oddly, we didn't have a solid power outage, but a string of hard brownouts that would pop up to full (or overvoltage) unexpectedly. All the electronics in the house seem to have survived, though we were concerned about a hard drive that was in the middle of partitioning when one brownout hit.
