Went by Hobby Lobby today to get some enamel paints - and lo and behold, all the (kitschy and goofy) Halloween stuff and the Thanksgiving stuff is piled up on a couple of tables marked 40% off. Then I see no less than eight half-aisles full of new Christmas kitsch.
I know Hobby Lobby is a heavily Christian influenced business, but isn't this pushing the season just a little bit?
As to why I was there to start with, I need certain flat enamels for colorants. There's one hobby shop (that I prefer) down in Campbell that carries them, but that's now a major day trip from Tracy. Mail order is a bit iffy, and places like Michael's don't carry the range of colors I need (most of which are used for military miniatures). So, Hobby Lobby off in Modesto it is.
