ysengrinNice article at Pharyngula; feel free to go read it. He starts off talking about a recent PBS newshour, and has the disturbing quote from one of the students:
Why, yes, I'm sure it is easier. Try to remember that when you're fifty and asking if they want fries with their order.
EDIT: Yeah, it's a bit harsh - but using God as an excuse to not learn is pretty damn poor judgement. You can be an effective scientist and hold strong religous beliefs - many do.

Why, yes, I'm sure it is easier. Try to remember that when you're fifty and asking if they want fries with their order.
