The new Picture of the Week is up.
These were needed to hold the shape of a pair of toe socks so the pads could be cast onto them, then easily removed afterwards. That's the tin-based silicone mold in the back. The extra foam on the very tops of the feet hasn't been trimmed off yet in this photo - the feet had just been removed from the mold.
 | 24 March 2013 Foam Feet We needed a pair of foot cores that we could easily remove from cast feet, but that had all the toes separate. So, one big block of silicone later - a fast but not necessarily inexpensive solution - we're able to pull foam feet that match the plaster feet used in making the original sculpture. These will be used in the production of DarkFang's soon-to-be-available form-fitting paw feet. Location: The Workshop |
