I'll put in my Nostradamus cap and make a prediction of serious measles and whooping cough clusters in several California counties, thanks to large numbers of parents
bowing out of immunizations for their children based on "personal belief exemptions."
Herd Immunity is considered effective when the vaccination rate is above 95% (State of California standards) or 90% (WHO).
Davenport and Bonnie Doon schools (Santa Cruz county) are running at 50% vaccinations.
The worst California counties (across the entire county's school districts): Nevada (82.6%); Trinity (82.8%); Siskiyou (88.5%); Tuolomne (90.1%); Humboldt (90.3%); Santa Cruz (90.5%); El Dorado (82.4%); Sierra, Del Norte and Marin (all 92.9%). Compare this to, say, San Mateo at 98%.
