Upgrade, take two

After a night of sleep, I finally got all the Windows updates installed, and the major drivers. Sheesh.

Almost wish I'd gone ahead and went with Windows 7, but I don't know if some of the legacy stuff -- the reason I need Windows at all -- will run under Windows 7.

Now to bring the other drives back on line, and get Thunderbird back up and running (my mail is off on one of the other drives).

Then to find where I stashed my fonts. The old default WinXP fonts are hard on the eyes :)

EDIT: Sweet, Blender rendering with four cores ...

The stable release of Blender 2.57 is up at www.blender.org

Note to self ...

Deciding to just re-download the WoW client might not have been the best way to go, even if it does clear out all the cruft. Now at 2.6 GB to go ...

I dread letting Steam re-download everything at once. I think I'll do just one game at a time, kicking it off when I go to bed across several nights.
