In other news, the Dow is down over 700 points today, and, what were the Democrats thinking? My respect for Pelosi has dropped even more. (EDIT: not because of the speech she gave that apparently upset some Republicans to the point that they changed their votes just to spite her -- by their own admission -- but that she was so fervently backing a band-aid bailout that would only hold together a few months, letting the underlying issues ferment until they burst forth again.)

Hummingbirds

Our hummingbird feeder leaks a bit around the bottom seam; a drop will form there every hour or so.

At least one hummingbird has noticed this, and after feeding will take a careful lap around the bottom seam, tracing along the seam with his(or her) beak. This involves turning while hovering, as the bottom seam is a circle about five inches across.
