Image-heavy
17 Sep 2008 09:48 amInstalled Picasa last night with the intent of both getting a handle on all the reference photos and organizing the old family photos before giving the face recognition a shot. Let it run overnight with it's initial indexing.
This morning I'm greeted with the total number of images / videos (in formats that Picasa recognizes) on my windows box -- 115,239. A quick look around confirms that reviewing all those images will be a good thing, as I seem to have several directories of twenty or thirty images that are duplicated.
I'll be picking away at that pile a little each day.
EDIT: That doesn't include GIFs or PNGs.
