Not much else to say right now; staying busy. dark_fang has been on the East coast for most of the week, so I've been amusing myself with rented movies in the evenings.

Oh, I finally finished off the leftover ham & all the soup I made from it - I think the oddest use of leftover ham went to ham curry ...

How intentional was the order of President Bush's priorities? Honestly, a citizen should be able to hold them in any order they please - but as *President*, shouldn't you put the country as a whole above your family and your faith?

I'm actually disturbed that a President - any President - might put his family's interests before his country's, and consider this a virtue.

Construction in Baghdad revisited

The Iraqi Prime Minister Nuri Kamal al-Maliki made an announcement on Sunday - "I oppose the building of the wall and its construction will stop."

Maj. Gen. William B. Caldwell IV, spokesman for the American military in Iraq, also made a statement Sunday, saying the barrier was only meant as a temporary measure for creating "gated communities."
