It might upset someone, as a survey of London schools found.

It [a study funded by the Department for Education and Skills] found some teachers are reluctant to cover the atrocity [the Holocaust] for fear of upsetting students whose beliefs include Holocaust denial.

There is also resistance to tackling the 11th century Crusades - where Christians fought Muslim armies for control of Jerusalem - because lessons often contradict what is taught in local mosques.

I'd make some snide comment about removing world globes so as not to offend Flat Earthers, but we've got equally disturbing pressures here in the US to not mention various otherwise accepted subjects in schools (evolution, f'instance, or the history of the US Civil War in some places).
