Got the new computer together (with a lot of help from ![[livejournal.com profile]](https://www.dreamwidth.org/img/external/lj-userinfo.gif)
dark_fang's smaller paws - there's not much room in there!), got XP Pro installed, got the drivers installed ... and wow!
Installed Guild Wars and I can run it 1280x1024 (best I can do with this monitor), highest visual quality and 2x AA without any noticable drop in the frame rate; it's smooth and beautiful.
And now I'm going to get some sleep.
