I Agree with Cheney
28 Jan 2005 09:21 am"... the message of intolerance and hatred must be opposed before it turns into acts of horror."-Vice President Dick Chaney, 27 Jan 2005
Cheney was talking about anti-Semitism and the Holocaust in a speech given in Poland. Not to lessen the horror of the Holocaust, but it would be nice if the administration would apply those words to its own dealings as well.
"The death camps were created by men with a high opinion of themselves — some of them well-educated and possessed of refined manners — but without conscience," Cheney said. "And where there is no conscience, there is no tolerance toward others ... no defense against evil ... and no limit to the crimes that follow."
A long minute of silence in remembrance of the millions killed in the death camps. Preventing this sort of outrage should be a high priority of *all* nations, and I have no patience for history reconstructionalists who try to prove it never happened.
