Guild Wars Alpha is over
15 May 2004 12:11 amThe Guild Wars alpha for E3 just ended; lots of avatars running around stripped to their underthings (who knew what warriors wore under their armor?) in the last couple of minutes :)
EDIT: just added this new icon from a screen capture. Yes, I do have screen shots of the line of avatars at the end and no, I'm not going to blow my bandwidth by putting them up:) I did spend the last 30 minutes running around at a high resolution snapping pictures (including my getting my ass kicked by two Charr - the new icon was one of them).
I was very impressed that they kept feeding new material into the alpha while it was going - the solo areas changed dramatically during the five days, and a new (additional) party quest area was brought on-line for the last couple of days. Very few glitches dispite the load on the servers. All and all, very nice :)
