HERE - Cambodian baby born with 10cm tail - apparently with bones (most human tails are just flaps of skin and muscle).

HERE - 1000 bottles of radioactive waste (mostly tritium) were found in a lab at Tokushima University in southern Japan; apparently they'd been collecting there since 1976.

HERE, with pictures - Highest observed tornado in the US - July 7, 2004, (above) Rockwell Pass, Sequoia National Park, California ... estimated touchdown at 12,000 feet elevation

Tritium decays rapidly. If I recall, it's halflife is something like 7 years.

The article also has the feel of inflating a fairly minor issue to dire national emergency status :)
