After thirty-seven years of operation, Six Flags has announced this is the last season for AstroWorld. The 105 acre park will be going up for sale, while a number of rides will be relocated to other Six Flags parks.

FYI, Six Flags itself is up for sale after a key investor pushed for an increase in its stock price. Six Flags over Texas (the original) used to be a seperate entity from Six Flags Corporation (the other parks), but I don't know if this has changed over the years.
"We are always looking for opportunities to enhance shareholder value. In assessing the performance of this property relative to the significant increase in real estate values in the Houston market, we concluded that the best way to unlock this value for shareholders was to pursue a sale of the property," said Kieran Burke, chairman and CEO of Six Flags.
