Film du Jour

Tonight was a little foreign film by the name of Silk. A pretty good little ghost story with some good twists, but with a large dollop of cringeworthy pseudoscience. Menger sponges when made from human proteins exhibit antigravity and interact with ghosts. Who knew.
Effects are low budget but mostly look decent, with the baffling exception of a hokey CGI car crash.
Supposedly an American remake is in the works. See the original first (thank you, Netflix) for a low-key horror popcorn night. Some gore, some cross-cultural weirdness, and a not-obvious ending. Three skulls out of five. Oh, yeah, subtitled in English.
EDIT: found a (long) trailer. unfortunately with some spoilers ...
